David achieved his degree in Medicine from the University of Lisbon in 2000 and subsequently completed internships at Hospital Pulido Valente and Hospital de Santa Maria, Lisbon.
He went on to manage the Ophthalmology Department at Hospital de Cascais where, along with another colleague, he was responsible for all the consultants and vitreo-retinal activity in the ophthalmology unit.
He subsequently relocated to the UK and has been performing cataract surgeries for SpaMedica since 2016.
