Recovery – How long does it take to recover after cataract surgery?

Recovery from cataract surgery can take up to 4 weeks. The procedure itself is quick (around 15 minutes) however you may be at the site for 2-3 hours on the day. It is normal to experience blurred vision, watery, gritty or red eyes in the first few days. Most people experience clearer vision within 2 weeks but complete recovery can take several weeks.
