SpaMedica celebrates important hospital milestone

We’re celebrating a monumental milestone in the story of SpaMedica!

In November, our new Wokingham and Bromley hospitals became our 20th and 21st hospitals to open, following the opening of SpaMedica Derby and Stockton-on-Tees in September.

SpaMedica opened its doors in 2008 in Manchester, providing excellent eye care for NHS cataract and YAG capsulotomy surgeries with short waiting times.

Now, 12 years on, we’re proud to be delivering over 50,000 surgeries per year, improving the sight of our patients and, ultimately, their quality of life.

The new state-of-the-art hospitals will support patients with their treatment programmes for NHS cataract surgery, & YAG laser treatment  and are built to the highest specification, equipped with the latest technology and innovative facilities.

With the patient experience at the heart of all our hospitals, we have ensured that the new facilities have free parking and offer free transport for NHS patients.

Please be assured we have taken many steps within all our patient pathways, to ensure the utmost safety for both patients and staff in these current circumstances – click here for full details of our additional safety measures.

SpaMedica is the UK’s largest cataract surgery provider and we are privileged to be able to support the thousands of patients that choose us as their provider.

We pride ourselves on the positive outcomes we achieve, together with community optometrists, and we are pleased to have this opportunity to further support patients with the opening of our new hospitals.
