We were thrilled to attend the RCNi Nursing Careers and Jobs Fair on Wednesday 9th February at Old Trafford in Manchester.
SpaMedica is set to expand again this year and, as the UK’s largest provider of NHS cataract surgery and a leading provider of NHS ophthalmic services, including treatments for age-related macular degeneration and posterior capsule opacification (PCO), we’re always on the lookout for talented and caring nurses who can grow and develop with us – whether that’s in one of our 37 existing hospitals, or in one of our brand-new hospitals due to open this Spring.
At the event, the SpaMedica team spoke to 123 nurses about who we are, what we do and why we do it. Nurses had the opportunity to learn more about what it’s like to work for our organisation –including our commitment to promoting a healthy work-life balance, which is why our nurses work four days a week and only one in four weekends, as well as receiving a great salary, two bonuses per year and many more benefits for doing a job they love.
Our recruitment coordinators, Victoria and Kelly, did a fantastic job of running our exhibition stand and talking to everyone who stopped by for a chat, telling them about our friendly teams, first-class facilities, and commitment to patient care. They were supported by RGN Angela, who shared her own positive experiences of working at SpaMedica Kendal.
Our nurses play a huge part in our patient care and support every single patient through their patient journey. We’re privileged to have some of the UK’s leading consultants working alongside our clinical teams in our state-of-the-art hospitals, and our nurses help us to achieve some of the best outcomes in the UK, along with low complications rates – helping hundreds of patients improve their vision every day.
