As an NHS patient you can choose where you get treated.
Think about what’s important for you, this could be the waiting time until your treatment, distance to the hospital, consultant experience or the quality of the hospital.
First, you should visit your optician who will conduct an eye test and an assessment of your eyes – and if you require treatment, they will refer you directly to a hospital of your choice. Let your optician or GP know which provider, hospital and location you would like to go to and they will then send a referral to your chosen provider.
You should hear back from your provider within about two to three weeks following your referral. If you haven’t heard anything then you can contact the person who referred you, this will be your optician or GP.
If you have chosen SpaMedica as your preferred provider and are having difficulty getting an appointment at one of our hospitals please call your local CCG and let them know.
“A most friendly atmosphere in every department. Smiling faces everywhere gives you confidence. Everything was explained in detail prior to the minor operation. My laser treatment was without any discomfort throughout the procedure. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone having eye problems.”
