We can confirm (following the latest lockdown announcement) that all our hospitals are remaining open and accepting new referrals to treat NHS patients for cataract surgery, YAG capsulotomy and AMD treatments (NB – AMD patients can only be accepted in regions where we are contracted as an AMD provider). Our current wait times for cataract surgery are 2 to 4 weeks for pre-assessment appointments.
We’re in regular contact with Public Health England, NHS England, the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, regional CCGS and NHS Trusts to keep up-to-date with the latest advice and provide ophthalmology support and services where they are needed most.
