Anti Wrinkle Injections

What are Anti-wrinkle injections?

Looking after your skin is one of the most important things you can do. Laughter lines and wrinkles caused naturally by ageing or sun exposure can now be easily smoothed out. Skin wrinkles can be one of two basic types, these being 'static' and 'dynamic'. Static wrinkles are present all of the time but dynamic wrinkles only appear with facial expression(s).

Injectable treatments are a quick and convenient way to smooth out unwanted lines on the forehead and around the eyes and mouth, without any need for surgery.

Here at SpaMedica, we offer two forms of injectable anti-wrinkle treatments. We can also help you to decide which one is right for you...

Anti-wrinkle injectable treatments at SpaMedica:

Dynamic wrinkles are treated with muscle relaxing injections, such as BOTOX®

Static wrinkles are treated with  Filler Injections.

We use VISTABEL® injections to induce muscle relaxtion. VISTABEL® is the same  medication as BOTOX® but is specifically licensed for cosmetic use. We also use  BOTOX®  for the treatment of facial spasm and blepharospasm.

Anti-wrinkle injections FAQ

How does it work?

At SpaMedica, we use a wide range of specialised injectables to rejuvenate the skin and combat wrinkles, therefore encouraging the growth of collagen which strengthens the skin and smooths away lines and folds.

BOTOX®Dermal Fillers and Sculptra™ are our main anti-wrinkle injectable treatments.

How will I feel during the treatment?

Generally, the main discomfort felt during the treatment is the sensation of the needle. But apart from this, there have been no discomforts reported by our patients.

Is this the right treatment for me?

Our trained staff will discuss the treatments available, to help you select the best procedure from our range of anti-wrinkle injectables.

What happens after the treatment?

There are very few after effects associated with injectable treatments. Mild swelling and soreness may sometimes occur, but these will disappear within a short period.

The staff member who treats you will explain how to care for your skin after having the treatment you choose.
