Using CO2 SmartXide Laser

Skin resurfacing using CO2 lasers has long been known to be the gold standard treatment to combat skin wrinkles, laxity and poor complexion. Today we are able to deliver CO2 resurfacing without the need for general anaesthetic or taking weeks off work. With fractionated or fraxelated treatment, at spaMedica we are able to deliver CO2 skin resurfacing in comfort with or without topical anaesthesia without the need for taking time off work.

The treatment is suited to all skin types and for the following indications:

• mild, moderate and deep wrinkles
• skin tightening
• skin pigmentation including brown and red age spots
• acne scars
• other types of scars
• skin tags and warts

The results of our skin resurfacing are immediate but the long term benefits go on for many months. Collagen remodeling is known to continue beyond 6 months meaning that you continue to see improving results for 6 – 12months, giving you a genuine long term treatment benefit for years to come. Treatment can be repeated but often this is not necessary.

Following you treatment you may experience some redness and swelling which settles after 2-4 days. Make up can be applied after treatment but often clients may wish to take some time off work for the initial post-treatment period.
