Laser Hair Removal

At spaMedica we use laser to remove hair. IPL is used in our clinic for the treatment of various other conditions to which it is well suited but not for hair removal. The reason for this is simple; laser hair removal is far more effective for permanent hair reduction than IPL. Our state of the art medical treatment is delivered in comfort without the need for anaesthesia. The laser tip, which is cooled for your comfort, delivers the laser energy to melanin pigment in the hair follicle, which prevents its further growth. We simultaneously add Radiofrequency (RF) treatment to the laser treatment to improve the efficacy of your long term hair removal success.

The treatment is fast and effective and can be used on most parts of the body on all skin types although we may need to perform a patch test. A course of 4 – 6 treatments is essential as hair follicles are if different phases of growth and to successfully treat them all in the correct phase, several courses are required.

After treatment you should be able to resume your daily routine immediately.
